HME LLC provides employment to contractual staff with diverse backgrounds and cultures in order to provide an inclusive environment to Patients and Clients from different backgrounds. Each contract recipients is given a cultural competence survey to assess his/her understanding and further training if needed. Individual with disabilities' who is given employment opportunities as one of our job readiness programs, is also surveyed on the understanding of cultural awareness based on the intellectual and comprehension level recorded and identified. No one should be left behind because of a disability; HME is an all-inclusive company and believes strongly against any type of discrimination. People first language is incorporated into the daily dialogue and practice of the HME LLC company practice and protocol. As a requirement, ethics and cultural competence training is a requirement of 3 hours a year in the state of Oklahoma Licensing Board of Behavior Health.
